Mitchell-Thomson Trophy The competition is open to men who have reached the age of 55 by 1 January in the year of competition. The maximum permitted handicap is 24 (playoff).
There are four pairs per team playing aggregate stableford greensomes. Two pairs play at home and two pairs play away. There are three Areas with the Area winners meeting in the National Final which is followed by a Presentation Dinner.

A team will comprise two qualifying players, and the team score will be the aggregate of both individual Stableford scores. In the case of more than two players from the Club being invited to play in the final, only the top two qualifying players will compete for their Club in the team competition.
