This is a team competition introduced in 2009 at the suggestion of Easthampstead GC.
"This competition is open to men and ladies who are members of clubs affiliated to the NAPGC. Men must have a playing handicap between 19 and 28 as of March 1 in the year of the competition or who obtain a playing handicap of between 19 and 28 after March 1. Teams MAY include up to two ladies with a playing handicap of between 19 and 36 as of March 1 in the year of the competition or who obtain a playing handicap of between 19 and 36 after March 1. If a player’s handicap decreases below 18.5 after March 1 or after he/she has played in a round of the competition, he/she shall still be permitted to play but off his/her current CONGU handicap, provided that in any match only TWO players with a handicap of 18 and below may play. "
Teams will be placed in one of three Areas (roughly one in Midlands/North and two in the remainder of the country) with the Area winners meeting in the final.
