Mary & Gordon Forster Finals

Mary Forster Winners - Huntswood B

The Mary & Gordon Forster finals took place on Sunday 28th April at Gaudet Luce Golf Club in Worcestershire.

Despite the torrential rain the night before, the team at Guadet Luce managed to have the course in a playable condition to enable the competition to start on time.

The Ladies kicked off ther event with 5 teams competing for the Mary Forster Bowl. The course was wet and certainly played to it’s yardage, so very challenging conditions, although thankfully the rain stayed away.

The ladies competition was a very tight run affair with only 10 points separating all 5 teams. The Huntswood B team clinched the trophy winning by 3 points ahead of Easthampstead Ladies.

The mens competition was also keenly contested and the rain that had stayed away earlier in the day returned making conditions very tricky. 8 teams contested the final which was won by Wycombe Heights C team who beat their A team by 8 points.

The Mary & Gordon Forster is the only NAPGC Winter competition and the organisers are grateful to all the teams that entered and managed to get all the matches played on time. An incredible feat given the very wet winter we have had.

Well done to all our finalists and congratulations to our winners. The NAPGC would also like to say a big thank you to the team at Gaudet Luce who looked after us all so well!
