The Men’s Championship Final was held Saturday 26th August on the Bracken course at England Golf’s headquarters , Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

There were initially 58 qualifiers from the 5 regional finals held in July, with 55 teeing off on Saturday, ably started by NAPGC Secretary, Stuart Cella.

The Bracken course was in great condition with quick greens, coupled with tricky pin positions, posed a very difficult test and the subsequent scores proved that.

David Watson (Rickmansworth) held off the challenges from Rod Gallagher (Hoebridge) and Doug Rae (Farnham Park) to become the Gross Champion.

The Nett competition went right to the end. Mau Patene (Haste Hill) registered a very good nett 72 early on and was leader in the clubhouse right until Lawrence Long (Hoebridge) came in one last groups with a nett 71 to win the Nett Champion title.

The other Winners were :

Rod Gallagher (Southern Area)

Steve Green (Midlands Area)

Reiss Curtin- Farrel (Division 1 Gross)

Mau Patane (Division 2 Nett)

Glenn Clifford (Division 3 Nett)

Thomas Clark (Division 4 Nett).

Congratulations to all our winners!

We would like to thank everyone at England Golf for the use of Woodhall Spa as a venue, especially Lisa Brown for assisting in setting everything up on the day.
